ANNOUNCING JUDE SAVES THE WORLD

Finally, it’s out in the world! The book of my heart and soul has been announced. I can hardly believe it. I’m going to be a published author! But I couldn’t do it alone. My acknowledgements are a mile-long as it stands, but still, it doesn’t feel enough.

I've been trying to come up with the appropriate words to describe my deep gratitude for the team behind Jude Saves the World. I’m going to try here.

I want to shout out some special people who helped me along the way!

Erin Haggett from Scholastic Canada. I wish I could make your dreams come true, because you have been an outstanding editor. Your kind soul shines through your work. I’ve never met anyone as detail-oriented and considerate as you are. Everything was thought through so carefully by you, and I’m in awe of your dedication. You’ve been such a fun person to work with as well. From the depths of my heart and soul, thank you.

Andrea Walker formerly from Azantian Literary Agency. Thanks for taking a chance on Jude and me. You were so lovely to work with, I valued your time and effort, and I’m so, so grateful for your championing. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors, especially because I truly lucked out with you as my first agent.

Jennifer Azantian from Azantian Literary Agency. Thank you for scooping us (Jude and me) up when Andrea left the field. Your expertise, quick responses, and championing did not go unnoticed or underappreciated. You have been such a wonderful addition to the Jude team.

I would like to shout out Eric Smith (P.S. Literary), Ashley Herring Blake (Rees Literary), Rebecca Podos (Rees Literary), and Emily Forney (BookEnds) for their kindness and support. Amazing, wonderful, and delightful people. I would also like to thank Megan Manzano (D4EO Literary) and Jess Errera (Jane Rotrosen Literary) because you helped inspire different aspects of Jude Saves the World which allowed me to make it into the book it is today: something I am incredibly proud of.

I would also like to say a special thanks to Juliana Johnson, my partner in life, for listening to me talk about Jude for endless hours, editing early drafts, and supporting me throughout this whole adventure. I love you more than anything, and couldn’t imagine anyone else at my side.

Thanks to my mom for being so supportive and always believing in me. I would be nothing without you. And to the Johnson family for being so ridiculously wonderful.

Thank you to everyone else who has been a small or big part in my journey with Jude Saves the World. I’m forever grateful.

Today is a big day for me. Announcing Jude has been something that I’ve looked forward to, and I’m so ridiculously happy the world will meet them soon.

Next up for me: working with Emily Seife and Scholastic US on copy-edits and other fun stuff! I can’t wait to bring you all along on the journey!

With love,

Ronnie
